TN Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme 2025 - Hello friends, the Tamil Nadu government has launched a new scheme for the students of the state, named TN Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme. This scheme will be operated by the Department of Social Welfare and Women Empowerment. Under the TN Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme, breakfast will be provided to primary school children from class 1 to 5 studying in government schools on all school working days.
In the first phase of the scheme, corporations, municipalities and panchayats were selected on the basis of high prevalence of anemia as per NHFS-5 data, economically backward blocks as per SBGF, habitation of tribal population and inaccessibility of areas, which will be covered under this scheme. At present, 1,14,095 primary school children studying in 1545 government schools will be covered under this scheme, with a total cost of Rs 33.56 crore, which will be extended to the remaining schools in a phased manner.

The main objective of launching the Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme 2025 is to ensure adequate development of children. Under this scheme, breakfast will be provided to primary school children from class 1st to 5th studying in government schools on all school working days. Now this scheme is being expanded to government and aided primary schools in urban areas of Tamil Nadu. Now 20.59 lakh school children will benefit from this scheme.

- Natives of Tamil Nadu state will be eligible for the scheme.
- Only students from class 1 to class 5 will be eligible.
